• Hallo zusammen, ich fotografiere seit gut zwei Jahren mit einer Chamonix 45H-1. Ich mag die Kamera sehr, vor allem dass sie nicht faltbar aber trotzdem kompakt, leicht und stabil ist, gefällt mir sehr. Zusätzlich zu 4x5 würde ich gerne im Format 8x10 fotografieren und wieder auf eine nichtfaltbare, kompakte und relativ leichte und stabile Kamera zurückgreifen. Eine Kamera die mir aufgefallen ist, ist die Svedowsky 8x10w. Ist hier im Forum jemand, der diese Kamera nutzt und mir Erfahrungsberichte aus erster Hand geben kann? Lieben Dank im Voraus.

    ja, ich hatte Svedowsky 8x10... jetzt aber VDS 8x10. Svedovsky war schön aufgebaut, Mahagony, gute Kassetten Festigung, sehr genaue Schrärfeeinstelung, original Alukiste. Aber für eine Landkamera zu schwer.

    Ich finde VDS für Landschaftsaufnahmen besser.

    Vielleicht hast Du Dir ja schon ne 8x10 gekauft, aber falls nicht gebe ich zu bedenken, dass Du bei der Svedowsky 8x10W
    überhaupt keine Verstellmöglichkeiten an der Rückstandarte hast. Die Svedowsky wird also unter Umständen nicht den gleichen Spaß bringen wie Deine C45H1. ;)

  • to all wooden folding cameras... But this is my personal opinion. I check many option before... but everyone can have a "beloved" one... So if you love the other one ... this is your choice. Thanks that people like different things...

    Ach nee... (Jetzt weiß ich endlich, warum meine alte hölzerne Linhof Kardan Color deutlich stabiler ist als meine Tachihara => sie ist gar nicht aus Holz...)

    yes ... you are right but my understanding was that the question is regarding wood camera. My post was to give Stefan the other option. Maybe unnecessarily because it gave rise to such comments. And BTW Svedovski is also great camera...

    But that's what Bila Sukari is talking about. It's normal that a metal camera is more robust and sturdy than a wooden camera. But if you just write "The most stable and robust camera." it sounds like a generalized advertising statement and that is what "gave rise to such comment", nothing else. I don't doubt that your camera is robust.

    Naja, die Kamera wiegt 5,44kg. Nicht gerade leicht. Da würde ich mir lieber eine Arca Swiss nehmen. Die Arca Swiss ist vielleicht nicht "the most stable" würde mir aber reichen....

  • Warum so zynisch?

    Ich finde es toll das es noch menschen gibt die neue 8x10 Kameras entwerfen und bauen. Klar, eine Arca hätte ich auch gern wenns nur die Kleinigkeit von etwa EUR6500 Preis unterschied nicht gäbe.

    Und warum darf ein Fotograf/Kamera Hersteller sein Produkt hier nicht vorstellen?

    Ja die Kamera ist nicht leicht, aber es scheint als wurde die Kamera speziell für schwere alte Brass Linsen bis 4KG Gewicht konzipiert zu sein.
